About the role

As a Total Defense Coordinator at LFV, you operate in an industry that is constantly evolving, where your role is crucial for national security.

Readiness and Security is a unit within Control and Economy responsible for crisis and readiness issues, total defense planning, aviation security, physical security, and signal security. The unit currently consists of 11 employees, primarily located at LFV's headquarters in Norrköping. We also lead employees throughout the organization who work with readiness and security issues, aiming to meet increased demands while directing, supporting, and monitoring operations.

Responsibilities

As a Total Defense Coordinator, you work at a strategic level with LFV's readiness planning in accordance with government guidelines, and support the organization in related work.

The role involves identifying and analyzing requirements, directives, and needs to develop goals and plans for societal crises, heightened readiness, and ultimately war. This includes developing our business management system, responding to inquiries, LFV's crisis management, wartime organization, wartime placement, and readiness plans. Planning, conducting, and participating in both inter-agency and national exercises are also part of the role.

Collaboration with international actors may occur. You gather relevant information about changes in the external environment and initiate changes within the area of responsibility in LFV's business management system as needed.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree in social sciences, security, crisis management, military science, or equivalent qualifications.
• Has several years of experience working with total defense-related tasks.
• Has experience collaborating with internal and external actors within the total defense sector.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in staff work within crisis management.
• Experience working in the public sector.
• Experience working in governing functions within an organization.

The role requires both initiative and judgment. You are results-oriented and drive the work forward with clear goals in sight. With your problem-solving skills, you quickly analyze complex situations and find well-thought-out solutions that contribute to societal readiness and security. You are self-reliant, take responsibility, and act proactively – even in changing or demanding situations. At the same time, you have strong relationship-building skills and understand that a robust total defense is built on collaboration, trust, and good communication between actors at all levels.

Other information

The position is a permanent employment with the possibility of placement in Norrköping, Malmö-Sturup, or Stockholm-Arlanda.

Before employment, LFV conducts a security clearance which includes, among other things, register control, security interview, and drug test. This position requires Swedish citizenship.
